An addition of four new one-story wings and interior remodeling of the existing skilled nursing center for seniors. The exterior of this wood and lightguage metal framed building will have brick and cement siding with fiberglass shingles over wood sheathing and wood trusses. Construction began in July 2009 and will be completed in February 2012.
Heritage Woods of Charleston-Charleston, IL
New construction of a 68 unit supportive living facility began in September 2010. The site work of the development consists of IEPA clean up project, soil stabilization, excavation, site utilities, concrete paving and landscaping. The building construction consists of a two-story wood frame structure with a brick, stone and vinyl siding exterior with an asphalt shingle and EPDM roofing. The interior of the building is a mix of studio and one bedroom units. There are a number of common areas including a central dining area, commercial kitchen, family dining room, living room, lounge/movie room, salon, store, activity room, fitness room and outdoor living areas. Special considerations consist of two elevators, wet/dry fire protection, fire alarm, data and phone system wiring and nurse call system. The financial partners are Illinois Housing Development Authority and USDA-Rural Development. The architect is Worn Jerabek Architects of Chicago, Illinois; the civil engineer is Roake and Associates of Naperville, Illinois; the landscape designer is Heller and Associates of Racine, Wisconsin; the MEP engineer and structural engineer is Blank, Wesselink, Cook & Associates of Decatur, Illinois. The 54,000 square foot facility is planned for a Fall 2011 completion.
Heritage Woods of Plainfield-Plainfield, IL
Construction began in November 2010 on the 108 unit supportive living facility in Plainfield, Illinois. The building consists of a three-story wood frame with structural steel beams and columns. It houses private studios and one bedroom mix units with an activity room, salon shop, dining room, laundry facilities, exercise room, library, lounge/movie room, store and outdoor living areas. The construction development includes a new road extension, excavation, site utilities, concrete and asphalt paving, landscaping, building construction and interior finishes. The exterior is finished with brick and stone veneer, cement siding, aluminum soffit and fascia. Special considerations consist of two elevators, commercial kitchen, wet/dry fire protection, fire alarm, data and phone system wiring and nurse call system. The financial partners are the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Builders Home Loan Fund and Great Lakes Capital Fund. The 79,000 square foot building is to be completed in the Winter of 2011.
